Tomato meat sauce (detox)

  Tomato sauce - detox diet
Ingredients:
  2 tbs   olive oil
  4 cloves   garlic, finely chopped
  1 cup   onion, chopped
  1/2 cup   green pepper, chopped
  1 1/2 lbs   ground meat (beef, lamb, ostrich or buffalo)
  1 cup   mushrooms, sliiced
  13 oz   can tomatoes, chopped
  6 oz   can tomato paste
  2 tsp   dried basil
  1 tsp   droed oregano
  1 tsp   dried thyme
  1 leaf   bay leaf
  1 tsp   apple cider vinegar
Directions:
  Heat oil in a large, heavy pot with lid over a medium low heat. Saute garlic in 2 tbs olive oil for 30 seconds. Add onion and green pepper and cook until onion is translucent and peppers are parially cooked. Add gournd meat of your choice and cook until browned. Stur in mushrooms, spices, tomates and tomato paste. Cover and simmer gently for 1 1/2 - 2 hours, stirring occasionally; or transfer to the oven and cook at 325F for the same length of time. If it becomes too think for your taste add 1/2 cup of water. Remove bay leaf. Add vinegar and salt. Adjust seasoning according to tast.
