Microwaved "Baked" Apples

| Very easy and very delicious! I used Gala apples and they were fairly large so I ended up cooking them about 15min in the microwave but it was SO worth it! This is going to become a familiar dessert in our home! |

Ingredients: |

tart apples |
|
1/2 c. |
|
instant oatmeal (quick-cook oats) |
|
1/2 c. |
|
brown sugar |
|
1/4 c. |
|
butter |
|
1 tsp. |
|
cinnamon |
|
1/2 c. |
|
raisins, plumped |
Directions: |

Wash and core the apples.
In a medium bowl,combine oats, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Cut in the butter. Stir in the raisins. Fill the cavities of the cored apples with the oat mixture.
Place the filled apples in a microwave-safe casserole dish. Microwave on high for 4-8 minutes (about as long as you'd need to cook potatoes in your microwave).
