An easy and tasty cabbage/kielbasa dish. Originally this recipe was brought back from Slovakia. I got it third hand, so I'm not sure how "original" it is. (LOL) This is an easy crockpot dish as well.
Ingredients:
1 16 oz pkg   Polska Kielbasa (Hilshire Farms)
  1 head   Cabbage
  1 bag   wide egg noodles
  1 med-sized   onion (if desired)
    Cooking Spray
    Pepper to taste
    Lawry's seasoning salt (if desired)
Directions:
Slice and quarter kielbasa into small pieces.
Thinly slice onion.
Slice cabbage to the thickness of egg noodles.
Lightly spray skillet with cooking spray.
In large skillet or deep pan, layer kielbasa, onion, and cabbage, in that order. Add seasoning desired, such as pepper and/or Lawry seasoning salt. (I've found the salt in the meat is enough salt for the meal, but the cabbage needs a Kick. :)
Cover. Place over medium-medium/low heat for 15 minutes.
* DO NOT ADD WATER. * Cabbage will begin to steam in its own moisture.
In a seperate pan, boil water (for the noodles).
After the first 15-20 minutes of cooking, stir occasionally while it cooks another 15 min. Cook the egg noodles and drain.
Pour cabbage and kielbasa over noodles.
Serve.

CROCK POT Directions:
Simply layer kielbasa, onion, cabbage and desired seasoning.
Set on low heat, allow to cook 3-4 hours.
Serve over cooked noodles.
