Delectable sweet-savory appetizers are easy with frozen puff pastry. Make, slice and chill then bake at the last minute. They are also so easy to assemble and use ingerdients you may already have on hand, you can whip them up for a last minute appetizer.
Ingredients:
1 pkg   frozen puff pasty sheets
  1 cup   apricot preserves
1 tbsp   dijon mustard or 1 tsp ground mustard
8 oz   deli sliced smoked turkey
8 oz   Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
Directions:
Thaw puff pastry according to package directions. Unfold one pastry sheet onto a lightly floured surface and roll out slightly. Spread evenly with half of the preserves, sprinkle with a little mustard powder or drizzle with Dijon. Layer with half of the turkey and half of the cheese. Roll up firmly and slice crosswise about ¾ inch thick with a sharp serrated knife. Lay onto parchment lined sheets. Bake at 400° for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool on the parchment for 5 minutes before removing with a spatula. Repeat with the other sheet.
Makes about 30 appetizers.
