Bananas Foster and Pineapple Upside Down Cake had a delicious collision!
Ingredients:
  1/2 c.   butter
  1 1/2 c.   brown sugar
1 T.   rum or 1/2 as much rum extract
1 T.   banana liquor or 1/2 as much banana extract
  3   bananas
1 (18.25 oz.) pkg   yellow cake mix
oil, water, and egg, as directed on cake mix
Directions:
-Preheat the oven as directed on the cake mix directions.

-Melt the butter in a sauce pan on the stove or in the microwave, using a large microwave-safe bowl. When the butter is completely melted, mix in the sugar, rum or rum extract, and banana liquor or banana extract. Pour this evenly mixture over the bottom of your cake pan.

-Slice the bananas into medallions and place over the brown sugar mixture to cover the bottom of the pan.

-Prepare the cake mix as directed by the manufacturer. Pour the batter over the banana layer.

-Bake as directed by the cake mix directions. Cool for 5-10 minutes, then carefully turn out onto a cake-plate. Do not let the cake cool too much or it will be stuck to the pan.
