beef lo Mein

Ingredients:
  2 lbs   boneless beef sirloin steak, cut 1 inch thick
  1 Tbsp   cooking oil
  1 large   onion, sliced
  1 8 ounce can   water chestnuts, drained
  1 4.5 ounce jar   mushrooms
  1 12.1 ounce jar   stir fry sauce
  1 Tbsp.   tapioca
  1 16 ounce package   frozen broccoli, cauliflower and carrots
  1/2 cup   cashews
  12 ounces   dried lo-mein noodles
Directions:
  Cut meat into 1 inch pieces. Brown meat in hot oil. Transfer to slow cooker with onion, water chestnuts, mushrooms and tapioca. Pour stir fry sauce over mixture. Cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours. Turn to high heat setting. Stir in frozen vegetables. Cover and cook for 30-40 minutes. Stir in cashews. Meanwhile, cook lo mein noodles according to package directions; drain. Serve meat mixture over lo mein noodles.
