Pot Roast with Dumplings

Pot Roast(pork, beef, etc.), with dumplings: eggs, flour, milk, bread.

Ingredients: |
|
2 |
|
eggs |
|
1 tsp |
|
salt |
|
2 c |
|
milk |
|
1 slice |
|
dry bread, broken into pieces |
|
3 c |
|
flour |
|
1 pkg |
|
carrots, skinned and cut up |
|
8 |
|
potatoes, skinned, cut up |
|
2 |
|
onions cut up |
Directions: |

Put roast in the crock pot for 6-8 hours. Add carrots, onions and potatoes midway through.
Beat eggs, and salt together.
Add milk, and bread.
Mix in flour gradually.
Dough should not be too thick or dumplings will be hard. Drop by very large spoonfuls into boiling water. Cover pot and watch for a few minutes so it doesnt boil over. Boil gently for about 25 minutes.
Strain, and add dumplings to crock pot for the last 30 minutes or so.
Serve hot.
