Penne with Spicy Meat Sauce

Penne tossed with spicy, low-fat meat sauce. |
Ingredients: |

2 cups |
|
penne pasta |
|
1 tsp |
|
olive oil |
|
2 cloves |
|
garlic, pressed |
|
1 tsp |
|
oregano |
|
1 tsp |
|
basil |
|
1 lb. |
|
smoked turkey sausage |
|
1/2 tsp |
|
dried red pepper |
|
8 oz. |
|
tomato sauce |
|
8 oz. |
|
tomato paste |
Directions: |
|
Pan-sear chopped turkey sausage.
Combine all other ingredients except the pasta and let slow cook with 1/2 cup water for 30-60 min. Add sausage to mix when cooked.
Boil pasta, drain, combine with sauce and serve.
