Mexican Casserole

Ingredients: |

2 lb. |

Lean Ground Beef |
|
1 lg |
|
onion |
|
1 lb. |
|
Grated mild Cheddar cheese |
|
1 15 oz can |
|
Ranch Style beans undrained |
|
1 T |
|
chili powder |
|
1 tsp |
|
garlic powder, salt, & pepper |
|
12 |

corn tortillas |
|
1 can |
|
condensed cream of chicken soup (10.5oz) |
|
1 can |
|
diced tomatoes and green chiles (10oz) |
Directions: |

Preheat oven to 325.
Lightly grease casserole dish. Saute onion and meat until meat is browned. Drain. Add undrained beans, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Cut 6 tortillas in strips. Line bottom of dish. Cover with meat mixture, then sprinkle 1/2 of cheese on top. Cut other 6 tortillas in strips and place on top, then top with remaining cheese. Mix condensed soup with tomatoes and green chiles and pour over top. bake uncovered for 1 hr.
