Hot Tuna Frenchies

Tuna salad heated wiht cheese for a good winter lunch. Add a cup of hot cocoa and you have it made! |
Ingredients: |

2 cans |
|
tuna in water |
|
1/2 c |
|
mayo |
|
1/2 sm |
|
onion, chopped |
|
2 Tbs |
|
dill pickle relish |
|
12 slices |
|
whole wheat bread |
|
6 slices |
|
American cheese |
Directions: |
|
Drain the tuna. Put into a bowl and mix in the mayo, onion, and pickle relish. You can add more mayo if needed.
Heat oven 425*.
Place 6 pieces of bread on large cookie sheet and top with tuna mixture. Place the other 6 pieces of bread around the edges of the pan balanced so that they will toast as the tuna heats up. About 10 minutes. Take out of oven and place a piece of cheese on top of the tuna of each slice and top that with a piece of the toasted bread. Place back into oven for about 5 minutes to melt the cheese. Remove from oven and serve hot. Be careful with children as the tuna really gets hot and with cheese it can burn the tongue.
