Ingredients: |

1 lb |
|
ground beef |
|
1 sm |
|
onion, chopped |
|
2 slices |
|
white bread |
|
2 c |
|
water |
|
1 tsp |
|
salt |
|
1/4 tsp |
|
pepper |
|
1/8 tsp |
|
ground nutmeg |
|
2 T |
|
oil |
|
1 jar |
|
(12 ounces) mushroom gravy |
|
1/4 c |
|
burgundy wine or water |
|
1.50 c |
|
Original Minute Rice |

Directions: |
|
combine beef, onion, bread, 1/2 cup of the water, 1/2 teaspoon of the salt, pepper and nutmeg in large bowl; mix well. Shape into 4 loaves
cook loaves in hot oil in large skillet until browned. Stir in gravy and wine. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 minutes or until cooked through.
Meanwhile, bring remaining water and salt to boil. Stir in rice and parsley; cover. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork. Serve rice with loaves.
