Lasagna with beef, tomato, onion, 2 cheeses, and eggs. |
Ingredients: |

1/2 c |
|
chopped onion |
|
14 oz |
|
beef broth |
|
28 oz |
|
stewed tomatoes, drained |
|
1.50 tsp |
|
salt |
|
1 |
|
bay leaf |
|
6 oz |
|
tomato paste |
|
16 oz |
|
lasagna noodles |
|
1.75 lbs |

ground beef |
|

hard boiled eggs |

|
mozzarella cheese |
|
12 oz |
|
cottage cheese or ricotta cheese |

pepper to taste |

Directions: |
|
1. Mix first 6 ingredients and ground beef. Let simmer. This makes the sauce layer.
2. Mix mozzarella cheese and cottage cheese. This makes the cheese layer.
3. In 10 1/2 x 14 3/4 (4 qt) dish, layer as follows: sauce, noodles, cheese, sliced eggs.
4. Repeat layering, ending with sauce (about 3 times).
5. Bake at 350 degrees approximately 30 minutes.
