Cabbage Rolls (pigs in a blanket)

  Great way to get a little of every food group.
Ingredients:
  12 large   cabbage leaves
  1 Lb   ground beef
  1 C   cooked rice
  1 tsp   salt
  1/2 tsp   pepper
  1 1/2 C   tomato sauce
Directions:
  Bring 6 C water to boil in large saucepan. Turn off. Soak cabbage leaves in water in saucepan for 5 min. Remove; cool on paper towels.

Meanwhile, put beef, rice, salt, and pepper into a large bowl; mix well.

Place about 1/4 C beef mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf. To form rolls, fold bottom end of cabbage leaf over filling; fold in sides, then roll firmly to completely close up filling. Place cabbage rolls in slow cooker, seam side down. Pour tomato sauce over cabbage rolls. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours.
