Easy Green Salad

Standard leaf lettuce salad. |
Ingredients: |
|
1/2 (10 oz.) bag |
|
green lettuce mix |
|
1 c. |
|
croutons |
|
1 pt. |
|
grape (or cherry) tomatoes |
|
1 |
|
carrot, grated |
|
|
|
salad dressing, any variety |
Directions: |
|
In a salad bowl, combine lettuce mix, tomaotes, croutons and grated carrot.
Top individual portions with each person's favorite salad dressing.
For Gluten-free dining, simply keep the croutons far away.

Healthy French Bread Sausage Pizza

Ingredients: |

1 loaf |
|
french bread |
|
1 can |
|
pizza sauce |
|
1 cup |
|
chopped fresh veggies |
|
1 lb |
|
turkey sausage |
|
1 cup |
|
shredded low-fat Mozzarella cheese |
|
4 tbsp |
|
reduced-fat Parmesan cheese |
|
1 tbsp |
|
italian seasoning |
Directions: |
|
Crumble and cook ground italian sausage until well cooked and drain. Press meat between sheets of paper towels to further remove extra fat. Cut bread in half lengthwise and sprinkle each half lightly with parmesan cheese. Spread half of pizza sauce on each half,sprinkle italian seasoning on top then motzarella, then veggies, then the cooked turkey sausage and the rest of the parmesan. Place on cookie sheet in oven at 350 degrees for abuut 10 minutes, until cheese is melted and sauce is hot. Cut each half into six pieces. Each serving is 3 pieces.
